Participant Requirements

Minimum Monthly Purchase of NAPA Product Lines
To qualify, you must purchase a minimum monthly average of $2,500 from your primary supplying NAPA AUTO PARTS Store.

Additional Participant Requirements

  • Prominently display NAPA AUTO CARE Program identification signage
  • Honour the NAPA “Peace of Mind” warranty on qualifying services and repairs
  • Honour NAPA manufacturers’ warranties
  • Carry Garage Keepers Legal Liability insurance
  • Make your serving NAPA AUTO PARTS Store your primary supplier and first call for parts and supplies
  • Stay current on all statements from your servicing NAPA AUTO PARTS Store
  • Employ service staff who are qualified, courteous and efficient
  • Maintain a formal training system for keeping your technicians up-to-date within the scope of your repairs
  • Perform high-quality repairs and service in accord with standard industry practices and published guidelines at a fair price using quality NAPA parts wherever possible
  • Maintain a clean, safe and professional environment
  • Maintain a high standard of professionalism
  • Participate in the Customer Satisfaction Index Program, if such a program is made available
  • Keep the external and internal appearance of your facility clean, uncluttered and professionally organized
  • Honour the NAPA AUTO CARE Program Code of Ethics:
    • Perform high-quality repairs and service at a fair price, using quality NAPA parts and supplies whenever possible
    • Employ certified technicians in all areas of work performed
    • Be dedicated to customer service
    • Exercise reasonable care of the customer’s property while it is in your possession
    • Obtain prior authorization and provide a price estimate for work to be performed
    • Provide a system for fair settlement of customer complaints should they occur

Initial Program Participant Fee and Annual Renewal Process

Your initial Program Participant fee is valid from the date listed on the front of this form and is effective until December 31st of the current year, subject to the terms and conditions as listed within this Agreement. Participation in the NAPA AUTO CARE Program requires yearly renewal. During the renewal process (typically the months of February and March), you will be contacted by your servicing NAPA AUTO PARTS representative regarding the upcoming year of your program participation. During this time, any upcoming NAPA AUTO CARE Program enhancements will be communicated to you, as well as update you on any other pertinent information regarding current NAPA AUTO CARE Programs that you may be entitled to.

The annual renewal process also serves to ensure that NAPA Headquarters has all current information regarding your business for various NAPA AUTO CARE Program elements, including referral information for the 1-866-GET-NAPA Locator Service and NAPA Auto Care web site. Electing to renew your participation
for the following year will ensure no interruption of benefits to you, your business and your customers, and will likewise serve to extend this signed Agreement. Your participation fees will be billed through your servicing NAPA AUTO PARTS Store.

Trademark Usage

Your participation in the NAPA AUTO CARE Program enables you to use designated NAPA “Marks”, such as the NAPA logo and the appropriate NAPA AUTO CARE Program logos (NAPA AUTO CARE Centre), which are owned by the National Automotive Parts Association ("NAPA"). Your use must comply with
the intended use and NAPA issued guidelines such as:

  • Design and Graphic Standards – For use of NAPA Marks in all forms of advertising, including but not limited to, on business identification materials such as
    stationary, invoices, statements, business cards, yellow page ads, printed advertising, websites etc.
  • Proper logo use as defined within the guidelines.
  • Selected vendors have been licensed to reproduce the NAPA and NAPA AUTO CARE trademarks on promotional items such as wearables, mugs, pens, banners etc. Selected vendors should be contacted to order or produce any promotional items that will display the NAPA or NAPA AUTO CARE marks. Additionally, any branded NAPA or NAPA AUTO CARE signage must be ordered through NAPA approved vendors or sign renderings must be approved by NAPA before any production / installation is authorized. Contact your servicing NAPA store for a list of approved vendors.

NAPA will keep the guidelines and the list of licensed NAPA Marks up-to-date and available to any current Participant on the NAPA AUTO CARE web site at www.napaautocare.ca or through your supplying NAPA Auto Parts store. As a Participant in the NAPA AUTO CARE program, you are both expected and required to uphold the established quality image that consumers associate with the NAPA Marks. In addition, you acknowledge NAPA’s registration and ownership of these Marks and your use does not give you any claim, interest or ownership of them or the resulting goodwill. You will not take any action that is contrary to this ownership or could result in the infringement, disparagement or dilution of the NAPA name or other NAPA Marks. You agree to comply with NAPA guidelines, directives and restrictions regarding their use and display, including requests to discontinue the display or manner of use of the NAPA Marks. The NAPA Marks are intended for use in identifying your business as providing high quality automotive repairs and services using NAPA brand parts whenever possible. The Marks must not be a part of your legal business name nor can they form any part of an internet or email address.

Termination Clause

This Agreement can be terminated by NAPA or the NAPA AUTO PARTS Store or the NAPA AUTO CARE Program Participant with 30-days written notice to the other Party. If you cease to be an outlet for NAPA brand products, this agreement will terminate immediately. If you cease to be a Participant of the NAPA AUTO CARE Program, this agreement will terminate immediately, including all rights and privileges to use the NAPA Marks, both exterior and interior. Upon termination, all signage bearing the NAPA Marks, both exterior and interior will be removed at your expense. In addition, you must immediately cease from using any of the NAPA Marks on all invoicing, business cards, banners, and any other related materials, as well as ceasing to advertise your business association with NAPA in any form. You agree that if your participation is terminated, you will not be entitled to any refund of the NAPA AUTO CARE Program and associated fees. You likewise agree to pay for any and all legal fees incurred if you fail to comply with the termination requirements as stated above.
